Here is a video also in the same area… this is at the corner of Katipunan and that road beside the Loyola Heights barangay.   The fenced in area (with yero) is a recently excavated area (the building used to have BDO, Dunkin Donuts, Blue Skies, Ken Afford–a few years back).  Watch this until the end and see a van sinking into the filled up empty lot (see the construction crane at the corner).

• A new building has just been recently finished called Oracle Building. It’s beside FBR building and it has Sizzlin’ Pepper Steaks on the first floor along with soon-to-open Tapa King.
• Music 22. New videoke place in the first floor of Elizabeth Hall. This is where Watson’s used to be.
• Around a year old already I think but still I think it’s worth mentioning as a new addition to Katipunan Avenue: Petron Station with all its new food & dining shops. You’ve got Chowking, Starbucks, Gonuts Donuts, Ineng’s BBQ, a steak place and an Italian place (I’m so forgetful already) and I bet some other somes I failed to mention.
• Also a year old (or more?) is Perspolis, a Persian restaurant on the 2nd floor, on top of World Topps and Bento Box.

Will do more updates on each of these places once I get to take pics… I’ll be happy to receive any comments on this though! Just comment below!

Anyway, it was nice to see familiar faces again, fellow bloggers like Aileen & her “sweet”-Jay…. and Lauren, Vida, Aileen and Rommel. Nice to meet new people too like Winston, Blogie and Joned. Even saw a college acquaintance, Jonel. Been a bit busy with maximizing photo ops at the fotoloco booth so wasn’t able to really mingle and go around.

I came as my blog but didn’t win. Guess what my costume was. How will I wear KatipunanQC ba? Since this site is geared towards students with several schools & universities nearby, I went as a student (the Avril Lavigne type accdg to Rommel) with a twist… KatipunanQC.com painted on my leg. I didn’t win. Boohoo. Sony PSP din iyon! Maybe I should’ve come as a street sign instead! Tsk, tsk. Congratulations to chickenmafia.com for winning the 1st prize, a Sony PSP. Runner-ups were batangyagit.com and pinoyblogero.com who both won a spa certificate and a “limited edition” 88db.com mug! *chuckle*

Looking for an enjoyable activity with your friends this summer?

Zero Gravity will hold its summer workshop in Katipunan, offering basic and intermediate level streetdance to children, teens and adults for 16 weekend sessions beginning on April 11 to June 1, 2008.

Zero Gravity takes a different approach to teaching streetdance as it combines the enjoyment of learning current dance styles with basic principles of theatre arts – therefore seeking to communicate a story through dance.

Classes are facilitated by instructors who specialize not only in dance, but also in education and theatre arts.

The workshop fee is Php 4,500.00 per person for 16 one and a half hour weekend sessions, inclusive of recital fee. Those who enroll in groups of 5 or more members get a discount and will pay only Php 3,500.00 per person.

Zero Gravity invites you to a streetdance summer workshop at the country’s first medi-spa, Amezcua Wellness Centre, located at 122 Katipunan Avenue, White Plains, Quezon City.

Class for adults will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, from 1:30-3:00 PM, starting on 14 April until 27 May 2007. The workshop will culminate in a recital.

Classes for kids and teens will be held on Fridays and Saturdays, from 9:00-10:30 AM and 10:30 – 12:00 NN,respectively, starting 13 April until 26 May 2007.
