Wham! Burgers

Along Katipunan Avenue, nestled in a small space just at the start of the underpass at Katipunan-Bonny Serrano (formerly Santolan), Wham Burgers shop is an uncanny sight. With its asymettric, pop culture-comics-inspired facade, it would seem out of place with its neighboring buildings and residences. I think this one-story shop is their first branch, before they opened in malls and other high-traffic areas. So far, each time I go there, I enjoy their burgers and fries. Sarap! Good old-fashioned grilled burgers.

Their hotdogs are good too and also reasonably priced.

The spaghetti I’d think twice before ordering again since what we got the first time was too soggy to eat. I’ve read of online reviews of their food in other branches too, which were half bad and half good, but so far no bad reviews of this branch yet.

Price Range: P70-P120

    do they deliver?
Any number we can call? Yeah, I’ve tasted their burer, and it was really good… and the serving size, not so bad either.

Yup good serving size for its price. No details yet on their number. They have a website but it’s still under construction: http://whamburgers.com/. I’m not sure if they deliver.

I tried ordering for delivery and some idiot who sounded like a gay beautician took forever to take my order then had the nerve na makipagharutan pa with someone while I was still on the line. I canceled the order and if I hear that a-hole’s voice when I go there next time, I will tell him AGAIN what I think of his customer service. Give jobs to people who deserve it!

I guess their delivery hotline needs more work and customer service training… paging Wham Burgers managers…

Your Katipunan Branch is terrible. So this is my first time to eat at Wham Burgers, I order a Chicken Burger. It looked so good in the picture, with its perfectly golden brown chicken patty atop what you claimed to be gourmet lettuce and mayo.

Then it arrives. I open it up and I see an almost burnt chicken patty, its color almost the same color as your beef burger. I can see bits of black and as expected when I tasted it, it tasted BURNT. I return it to your cashier to complain and she doesnt even apologize. I RESENT THAT THEY SERVED ME A BURNT BURGER IN HOPES THAT I WOULDNT NOTICE IT OR I WOULDNT COMPLAIN. BAKA SAKALI MAKAPASA?!

They replace it and I get a chicken burger that’s not as golden brown as the picture but figure, what the hell? I’m hungry. I eat it and its dry! The chicken breast is tough and comes apart in dry strings. Apart from that it looked like it was fished straight out of the oil and dumped on my bread within two seconds. It was swimming in oil!

I complain again and ask for the manager/owner’s name, and your cashier simply turns away and talks to some person inside explaining the story while ignoring me and my questions. DO YOU NOT TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE ABOUT BASIC COURTESY??

I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR SERVICE and YOUR FOOD. DO NOT PUT PICTURES OF FOOD THAT YOU CANNOT PRODUCE BECAUSE YOUR CONSUMERS ARE NOT STUPID.

GOLDEN BROWN CHICKEN PATTY VS. BURNT, INCREDIBLY OILY, DRY CHICKEN PATTY.

    SERIOUSLY.
